Donald Trump’s Fake Awards Keep Piling Up

Donnie made a mess and he needs special treats to help him cope. As Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said, “I think that the, uh — we should all have a little empathy for what has been done to him and his family.”

Apart from the fact that whatever “has been done” to Trump and his family has left them billions of dollars richer and the fact that they seem to have zero empathy for the hurt they cause anyone else, is Bessent saying the president had his feelings hurt so he needs prizes to lift his spirits? That does sound like he’s talking about a toddler.

President Donald Trump pretends that all the crimes he committed in his first term weren’t really crimes. He claims that all the court cases were a form of “weaponization of the Department of Justice.” These fantasies are a tool he uses to justify his criminality in his own mind. He repeats them constantly whenever there is a microphone in front of his face.

When his reign of terror is ended, he will be able to derive comfort and self-worth from his hoard of golden trinkets to help him forget the lives he destroyed.
