If Trump Cared About Jobs, He Could Create Some With His $2 Billion Windfall
If Donald Trump bothered to use the $2.2 billion he made in 2025 to create work for Americans, he could add twice as many jobs as the entire US economy did in June.

The US economy added a mere 57,000 jobs in June, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which on Thursday also announced that its estimates from the previous two months were revised downwards by a total of 74,000.
And while hourly earnings were up 3.5 percent year-over-year, that results in a net pay cut for Americans since inflation increased to 4.2 percent. In addition, according to the Conference Board, workers are increasingly pessimistic about finding new work.
What this means is that, in spite of Donald Trump’s promise of a “golden age,” his employment record is lagging far behind that of his predecessor, and the vows of his underlings that an economic boom is just around the corner have not materialized.
At least not for regular Americans.
For Trump himself, the economy is working just fine. According to his financial disclosure form, he made $2.2 billion last year. Of course, that figure doesn’t tell the full story of the president’s endless grafting and corruption.
For example, let’s not forget that Qatar also “donated” a plane to him. (And, speaking of gifts, Trump reported that he only received 11 of those all of last year… and if you believe that, you may want to consider investing in his meme coin — but more on that in a moment.) Or that he gave himself immunity for past tax offenses (ooops, of course we mean that his absolutely impartial Department of Justice gave him immunity after reaching a deal with the equally impartial Internal Revenue Service), which probably saved the president another $100 million.

And he is not the only Trump who is raking in big bucks.
Melania got that movie deal that is probably totally on the up-and-up, and the president’s sons have developed a real knack for getting lucrative government contracts now that Daddy is back in office.
But, for argument’s sake, let’s say Trump “just” made $2.2 billion in 2025.
With that money, he could create 146,000 minimum wage jobs. That is nearly twice as many as the entire US economy added in June.
That would really help some of the people who are affected by the cuts to Medicaid, rural health care, and food stamps that Trump signed into law a year ago in the bill that gave massive tax breaks to other rich people.
Of course, it probably needs to be a little bit more than a minimum wage job for the gullible dupes who got fleeced in the president’s crypto scheme.
The disclosure form shows that Trump made $635 million in royalties from his TRUMP meme coin.
Obviously, that money had to come from somewhere. In this case, that means from the investors marks who purchased the president’s cryptocurrency.
According to a Newsweek analysis, a $10,000 investment in the meme coin on the day of its launch is now worth less than $400. While that sounds like a rotten deal for anybody apart from the president and a few insiders who actually made money, it’s a real winner compared to anybody who put their money into the MELANIA meme coin, which lost more than 99 percent of its value.
But it’s probably all legit. In any case, this is not something Americans should concern themselves with as they struggle to pay the higher prices that Trump’s tariffs and the war have caused.
Because, after all, isn’t the important thing that the president is thriving and that the country will soon have a glorious ballroom?
