For us at WhoWhatWhy, giving thanks is simple. There are so many people who make it possible for us to do the journalism we want to do — the journalism you want to read.
First, we salute you — our family of readers, who not only share our work with others, but share their ideas, tips, and critiques with us. In countless cases, your input and insights have had a positive impact on what we do.
We also want to acknowledge our loyal donors who make our lean operation possible. While much of WhoWhatWhy gets unusual bang for the buck, thanks to a host of skilled volunteers, the reality is that it takes money to run any news organization.
And finally, I personally want to thank my amazing team of reporters, editors, graphic artists, programmers, and operations personnel, all of whom are dedicated to putting out an exceptional product every day. Without them, WhoWhatWhy would not be the remarkable enterprise it is.
WhoWhatWhy is an experiment in doing news more cleanly. More honestly. With nothing motivating us — not profits or funders — beyond a hunger to understand and to share what we learn. And to keep on improving.
You’re all a crucial part of this experiment. And, for having you in our lives, we’re very grateful.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
