Donald Trump may be an idiot who thinks electric planes can’t fly at night, but he is a virtuoso when it comes to breaking the law and getting away with it.

And now the Supreme Court has handed this Mozart of Fraud a carte blanche for a possible second term.

While Republicans seem to think that it is a great idea to give the greatest crook in presidential history (sorry, Richard Nixon) a blank check, everybody else is horrified.

Essentially, Trump’s Court (and by now it’s fair to call it that) told the former president that, if he were to win in November, he could commit any crime… as long as he figures out a way to make it “an official act.”

To someone as enterprising as Trump when it comes to defrauding others, that’s a dream come true.

He once famously (and correctly) said that Republicans would still support him if he shot someone on Fifth Avenue. Actually, it’s surprising that he hasn’t tried that yet to boost his poll numbers.

And now, the court told him that he could… what a great deal for the Shakespeare of Embezzlement.

Think of the possibilities!

For someone with Trump’s criminal energy, they are endless.

“With Executive Order 1, I hereby instruct the Federal Reserve to print $1 trillion to fight inflation. That money is to be deposited in my checking account.”

“I have asked the FBI to seize E. Jean Carroll and put her in a black site prison in the name of national security. All civil penalties due to her are forfeit.”

“The Department of Education shall divert all of its funds earmarked for institutions of higher learning to Trump University.”

These examples show why “total immunity” may not be such a bad idea, because Trump would likely use it to enrich himself much more than to lob nuclear bombs into hurricanes or to attack Ukraine to help his pal Valdimir Putin.

For his part, the former president celebrated the ruling in his usual, subdued style.

“THE SUPREME COURT DECISION IS A MUCH MORE POWERFUL ONE THAN SOME HAD EXPECTED IT TO BE. IT IS BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN AND WISE, AND CLEARS THE STENCH FROM THE BIDEN TRIALS AND HOAXES, ALL OF THEM, THAT HAVE BEEN USED AS AN UNFAIR ATTACK ON CROOKED JOE BIDEN’S POLITICAL OPPONENT, ME,” he wrote on his Truth Social website (which, under the new court decision, could become the official channel of communication for all executive government departments, which would then be charged $50,000 per post). “MANY OF THESE FAKE CASES WILL NOW DISAPPEAR, OR WITHER INTO OBSCURITY. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

God bless America, indeed.
