Texas passed an abortion bill that poses a sentence of up to life in prison and/or a $100,000 fine for medical staff performing abortions. They also have developed new administrative regulations restricting abortions. A Texas woman, Kate Cox, needs an abortion to end her nonviable pregnancy. The men of the Texas government feel they know better than Cox or her doctors. This is yet one more example of how women all over Texas are scrambling to get basic health care.
