It’s something of a riddle but, from what I can tell, the best reason for first lady Melania Trump to announce that she had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell is that her former friend Amanda Ungaro appears to be getting ready to spill dirt on Epstein and the Trumps. Or at least she’s threatening to do this as a tactic to get her former boyfriend, Paolo Zampolli, to give her custody of their child in a legal battle.

Zampolli allegedly had President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security deport Ungaro to Brazil. Ungaro has been posting about her claims online and this may have prompted the first lady to give her version of events, just in case Ungaro does go public with damaging information.

Bekah Day provides a run down on the situation from Ungaro’s point of view.

Here is Mrs. Trump’s recent statement on the Epstein files.
