Obtaining Trump’s tax returns was a Holy Grail for Democrats who believed they would expose him to charges of legal wrongdoing and demonstrate that he wasn’t really wealthy. Now they’re out and, as with so many similar moments in the past, it turns out there’s less excitement than Democrats hoped.
